Tire Source’s Community Partnerships Through the Years 

At Tire Source, we’re not just your local neighborhood car care shop; we’re committed to giving back to the community. As a local business, we have a strong connection to the area and love dedicating time and supporting causes that are important to our team. Over the years, Tire Source has dedicated time and assisted organizations with donating to the community, from helping employee’s families to supporting community involvement in schools.  

Mary White, Tire Source Controller, says, “Tire Source has been an active member of the community for several years supporting sports teams, events and charitable initiatives. Our team is here to help meet the needs of our customers and make a positive impact through various causes and partnerships.” 

Tire Source Gives Back 

Over the past eight years, Tire Source has continually partnered with various organizations to donate to by raising money and sponsoring golf outings and events for different causes. 

Golf Outings 

On August 12, 2024, the most recent golf outing took place at the Congress Lake Club. The outing benefited the H. Gregory Fairhurst Research Fund, the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, and the Congress Lake Club Caddie Scholarship Fund. In total, we raised $30,000. We were honored to co-host this event and look forward to continuing the tradition.  

Sports Donations 

Living in an area where we can help grow our community is something we love being part of. Every year, we donate to our local school sports teams so they can buy the necessary equipment and more to help the students excel in their favorite sport.  

The Salvation Army - Hits for Hunger 

In 2024, one of our loyal customers came to us and asked if we would be willing to donate to the Hits for Hunger initiative. We gladly contributed by donating to this great cause. We are always willing to go the extra mile for our customers.  

Selfless Elk 5K 

We are proud to contribute to the annual Selfless Elf 5K run/walk. The event benefited the Akron-Canton Foodbank. We donated funds and helped spread awareness for people struggling with hunger in our community. Overall, we helped contribute to raising $10K. 

Medina Christmas Shop with a Cop© Program 

Every year, we have the pleasure of sponsoring a child in Medina County for the Christmas Shop with a Cop© program. The Medina cops take underprivileged children to a local department store where they can shop for Christmas presents. This cause specifically shows how we and the community can get together and make a difference in others' lives. This is why Tire Source likes being part of the community and finding local charities to donate to. 

The program “Shop with a Cop” provides an opportunity for the kids to have a positive experience with a police officer. A portion of the proceeds raised provide support for Medina Co. Police Activities, Medina Co. Share Cluster, Middle School Leadership Programs, School DARE Programs, Wags 4 Warriors, monthly adoption from Medina Co. Animal Shelter and other community activities. 

Canton Carnival of Wheels 

We are also involved in the Canton Carnival of Wheels, a car show charity event. The proceeds of the Canton Carnival of Wheels go towards scholarships for students in Stark State College's Automotive Program. One of our customers helped organize the event which is why we couldn't say no to helping such a great cause. We have been committed to doing this for the past few years and will continue to do so in the future.
